Two Chicago born suburbanites make their move out to rural
America. We had been living in downtown Des Moines,
in a condo, for a few years and had a desire to get out and have some land at
our next house. A couple days before a
two week trip to Europe, I found our Little Yellow Farm House, built in 1920
with a little over 3 acres of land, a big old barn and machine shed, both built
in the early 1950’s.
After one walk thru the house, we decided we had to make it our home. We moved in on August 3rd, 2012 and have so many projects we want to start! We hope to use this site for our friends and family to see what we are doing in the country and hopefully inspire others to move to a slower pace of life.
